Day 3 Sedona is Pretty cool

by Johnny Boy 24. June 2010 10:19

Sedona is pretty cool, literally.  It is not as hot as we thought.  This is because of the elevation.  Sedona is close to 5,000 feet above sea level which helps to keep it cool.  We have had daily activities at the resort including making bracelets and pottery.  Paige and I played golf today with Uncle Jim and

Will.  Below is a picture of Canyon Mesa Country Club where we played.

Later that evening the boys got a little crazy with the bubble bath in the jacuzzi.  It was the cleaniest they have ever been.

Day 1 The Treck to Sedona

by Johnny Boy 24. June 2010 10:02

After an 8:30 AM departure schedule we got on the road at 6 PM Saturday.  With the remote control in the car missing the ipods and gameboys provided the on road entertainment.  We were making pretty good time and stopped for gas and nutritional snack at the combo Pilot/Dairy Queen.  We loaded up on gas and blizzards and were oin the road again.

It was about 11PM and we were 45 minutes outside of Phoenix when disaster struck.  A freeway closure on I-10 from an 18 wheeler cargo fire.  We sat on the freeway until 1 AM and then we were moving again.  Once we cranked the trip up everyone complained about being hungry so a 1:45AM drive through stop at McDonalds hit the mark and we had the energy for the final two hour drive to Sedona.

With the whole clan sleeping the final two hours were not the easiest drive but at 3:50 AM we pulled into the hotel.  Operating like zombies at 4:30 AM we were all in bed for a relaxing 2 1/2 hours of sleep.

The next morning we met my mother, Ed, and my brothers family for a day of exploring the resort.

Jessie wants a tour guide

by takroush 18. June 2010 17:19

With Terry trying to be a good mom she attempted to get Jessica to tour Jessie around Amman, unfortunately she couldn't make it so we got a couple of Jordanian models to give him the tour.  See you next week Jessie.
